First Impressions: Arc’teryx Norvan LD 4
Arc’teryx might be the underdog in the trail shoe game, but the latest Arc’teryx Norvan LD 4 shows they’re here to compete. Straight out of the box, it feels secure, responsive, and ready for a wide mix of trails.
Testing it across South East Queensland — from slick rainforest singletrack to dusty fire roads — the Arc’teryx Norvan LD 4 impressed with its balance of comfort, support, and traction. The medium-to-wide fit with a roomy toe box will suit a lot of runners, though they do run a little large, so sizing down by half is worth considering.

Underfoot, the 25mm/19mm midsole strikes a classic feel: cushioned but not overly soft, supportive without being heavy. Combined with Vibram® Megagrip lugs, traction wasn’t an issue on either wet or dry surfaces.
