Grab Your Crew: Easter Trail Running Starts Here

Run with mates this Easter at the Inaugural Wild Earth Unbroken Team Trail Marathon in Queensland. A team trail running event built for fun.

I know what you’re thinking. Easter? Already? Honestly, I’m with you. It sneaks up like a kid about to spook their parents while they’re watching Netflix.

It’s a weird time. We all know it’s a long weekend and it almost entirely revolves around chocolate, family catch-ups, chocolate, a tiny reprieve from work and more chocolate. But this year, tucked inside that little pause is something new and exciting—the Wild Earth Unbroken Team Trail Marathon is about to make its debut.

January resolutions

Here’s the thing. Oddly enough, the lead-up to Easter can feel like a second start—a practical, low-pressure time to get stuck into those January resolutions and maybe even line up some new events for the year.

The Wild Earth Unbroken Team Trail Marathon is a great opportunity to start turning those resolutions into action. There’s still loads of time to get a team together and kick off training.

The power of putting a date in the calendar

We all know that goals without deadlines have a habit of drifting aimlessly. But things start to get real when we register for an event. There’s something about seeing that date sitting in the calendar that gets our trail juices flowing and our feet out the door.

And the best part about registering for a team event like Wild Earth Unbroken Team Trail Marathon is that the motivation becomes shared.

Shared miles, shared motivation

Once you’re ready to book, bringing your mates into the mix can really power up your training momentum. The upside? Getting them involved is easier than you think. You can do a callout to your run group, grab a few work mates, or even chat to that colleague who keeps talking about getting back into running. Then suddenly everything feels shared instead of going it alone.

When it comes to race day, events like the Wild Earth Unbroken Team Trail Marathon are a no-brainer. The team format means you don’t have to grind out kilometres on a solo mission. You’ll be rotating through loops, keeping the chip moving and backing each other through it. The pressure softens a little and the camaraderie ramps up.

Folks, endurance running has never been more fun.

Lock it in and get moving

If you’ve ever trained for an event before, you’ll know that once it’s locked in and a few runs are ticked off, things start to feel more dialled in. Instead of cramming kilometres into every spare moment you have, you gradually build a routine that’s doable for you.

That’s why team trail events hit the mark. The structure supports busy lifestyles and a routine is easier to achieve. The Wild Earth Unbroken Team Trail Marathon format, with its rotating laps of 14km and shared effort, leans into repeatability rather than one all-or-nothing mammoth push. You’re still covering the distance, but you’re doing it in a way that mirrors real life—show up, put the work in, recover, go again. It’s endurance without the solo grind.

Run First, Chocolate Later

Grab a few mates and let the lead-in to Easter this year be intentional—where plans actually land in the calendar.

The Wild Earth Unbroken Team Trail Marathon can become the long weekend where all the runs you’ve ticked off finally meet a start line. Just show up with your crew, run your leg, cheer the next person on and keep the chip moving. And yes… there’s chocolate.

Lots of chocolate.
